How is Premium different from Standard Teeth Whitening?
There are 2 different whitening products used, Premium is more effective and recommended for optimal results. If you are unsure which is right for you, contact us before booking and we will help you choose.
What whitening product do you use?
We use hydrogen peroxide in our whitening treatments in accordance with applicable legislation, permitted concentration limits and the manufacturer’s instructions. Suitability is assessed before treatment.
What results can I expect?
Results vary from person to person depending on your natural tooth shade, the type of staining and your dental condition. We cannot guarantee a particular shade or level of whitening.We will talk about realistic expectations for your smile before treatment begins.
Will it whiten crowns, veneers or fillings?
Whitening works on natural teeth and will not change the colour of crowns, veneers, fillings or other dental restorations. Please let us know if you have these, particularly on your front teeth.
Can whitening cause sensitivity?
Sensitivity varies from person to person, and not everyone will experience it. Temporary tooth sensitivity can occur after whitening and usually settles. Please tell us about any existing sensitivity before your appointment and let your treating professional know if you experience discomfort during treatment.
How should I prepare?
Please eat beforehand and arrive well hydrated. If you haven’t had a dental hygiene appointment in the past six months, we recommend contacting your dentist or hygienist to check whether a clean is needed before whitening.
What can I eat afterwards?
Our aftercare instructions advise avoiding food for 2 hours after your appointment and following a white diet for the first 24 hours. Choose light-coloured foods and avoid strongly coloured foods and drinks. Full guidance will be provided.
How long will results last?
Longevity varies with your diet, smoking habits, oral hygiene and natural tooth colour. Follow your aftercare guidance and maintain regular dental care.
